When you design a four-wheel drive race car specifically for a certain race, there’s a hope that it will succeed. If you happen to further name the vehicle after the race, well you might feel a touch more embarrassed if you didn’t at least come close to your goal. VW Atlas Tanoak and VW Atlas Cross Sport
Volkswagen is one of those brands that has had the same models to entice loyal shoppers for decades. Though many of them, such as the Beetle and the Golf, remain popular choices in the lineup, the automotive world could be said to have sized up since the introduction of these compact options. VW has a strong hold on markets where smaller vehicles are still the top selection, but America is not that market. Since the introduction of the 2018 VW Atlas and Tiguan, these two models have quickly proven popular. We’re talking 40 percent of sales in the U.S. market for the VW brand. e-Golf experiences a spike in sales in Europe
After a significant spike in sales in Europe, the 2015 Volkswagen e-Golf is taking its place as the top-selling electric vehicle in Europe. Previously, the Nissan Leaf was the sales leader for European sales. However, earlier this year, the e-Golf over took the Leaf and has maintained the lead months later. Problems with fuel pumps has led Volkswagen to recall over 6,000 models.
After discovering problems with equipment supplied by Bosch, Volkswagen has followed BMW and Nissan’s lead and has issued a recall on the 2015 Volkswagen Golf. The faulty parts are fuel pumps that are said to feature a nickel-plating. This nickel plating has been discovered to flake and cause problems with the pump. Along with the Golf, Volkswagen recalls the Audi A4 and the GTI. (more…)
